Justin Ngoy Mwana Bute, un major de la Police Nationale Congolaise (PNC) et commandant adjoint du Groupe Mobile d’Intervention (GMI) à Kisangani (Tshopo)  a été condamné, le vendredi 1 mai à 20 ans de servitude pénale par la Cour militaire de Kisangani.

Justin Ngoy Mwana Bute a été condamné pour la mort d’une femme tuée par balle pendant aux manifestations organisées par les motards du 21 au 22 mai. Destitué de la Police, il a été reconnu coupable de meurtre et de violation des consignes.

Après ces manifestations provoquées par ce que les motards appelaient tracasseries, la société civile de la province de la Tshopo avait  dressé un bilan d’un mort et cinq blessés.
