“Ce n’est pas facile de faire du business au Congo”, constate Joss Ilunga Dijimba, 52 ans, qui se bat pour faire tourner son entreprise pharmaceutique, Pharmagros, installée dans la banlieue de la capitale de la République démocratique du Congo.

Des médicaments fabriqués au Congo peuvent-ils remplacer les molécules importées ? Le gouvernement de Kinshasa assure que oui et veut promouvoir l’industrie de RDC en obligeant hôpitaux, pharmacies et ONG à acheter localement certains produits, ce qui inquiète des professionnels de la santé.

La société, qui emploie environ 40 personnes, a survécu tant bien que mal aux pillages massifs des années 90, dit-il. Mais il y a aussi les impôts, les taxes douanières, la difficulté d’embaucher du personnel qualifié…
