The Ramadhani Brothers from Tanzania emerged as the winners of the inaugural season of the US reality competition America’s Got Talent (AGT): Fantasy League.

Fadhili Ramadhani, 36, and Ibrahim Jobu, 26, triumphed over nine other finalists, securing the top spot and $250,000 (£198,000) in prize money. The duo is renowned for their daring head-balancing performances.

Their mentor, judge Howie Mandel, described their routine as “probably one of the most terrifying acts in AGT history.” Following their victory, Ramadhani expressed their life-changing moment, stating, “Our lives are changing from this moment,” as reported by US Today magazine.

“This victory means a lot to us. We are extremely happy,” Jobu told People Magazine, outlining plans to utilize the prize money to purchase more equipment and upgrade their training center in Tanzania. They also aim to assist other acrobats in their community and acquire land to build their homes.

The brothers are the first to headline a show on the iconic Las Vegas Strip in the US. Their performances, involving intricate head-balancing acts while navigating different sets, wowed the AGT: Fantasy League judges.

Tanzania’s President Samia Suluhu Hassan congratulated the duo, highlighting their journey as a testament to the importance of effort, discipline, dedication, and self-confidence in achieving success.

The Ramadhani Brothers have participated in several “Got Talent” franchises worldwide, including Australia, Spain, and Romania. Their trainer and coach, Winston Ruddle, a Zimbabwean, founded an acrobatic school in Dar es Salaam and is behind the international touring troupe Cirque Mama Africa.
