Heartbreaking news emerges from Zambia’s Kafue National Park as an 80-year-old American woman lost her life in a horrifying encounter with an elephant during a safari expedition. The incident, which took place last Saturday, sent shockwaves through the safari group and local officials.

Witnesses captured the harrowing scene on video, showing the massive elephant aggressively attacking the vehicle, ultimately flipping it over multiple times. Keith Vincent, CEO of the safari group, explained that the vehicle was immobilized by the challenging terrain, leaving the passengers vulnerable to the elephant’s onslaught.

Tragically, the elderly woman, whose identity remains undisclosed, succumbed to her injuries. Plans are underway to repatriate her remains to the United States, while four other guests who sustained minor injuries are receiving necessary support and trauma counseling. Additionally, one woman has been transported to a hospital in South Africa for further medical attention.
