Kenyan police have identified three men wanted in connection with the murder of Scottish businessman Campbell Scott, whose body was found stuffed in a sack of pineapples in a forest.

Scott, a 58-year-old senior director at credit scoring firm Fico, disappeared from his hotel in Nairobi on 16 February. His body was later discovered in Makongo Forest, 60 miles (96.5km) from the capital, with his hands bound.

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has released images of the suspects—Benard Mbunga Mbusu, Samuel Musembi Kamitu, and Alphonse Munyao Kilewa, also known as “Edu”—urging anyone with information on their whereabouts to come forward.

Two other men have already appeared in court, accused of using Scott’s bank cards to withdraw money. Police believe Scott was last seen alive after visiting a nightclub and later going to a house belonging to one of the suspects, where he was allegedly killed.

Initial arrests included a taxi driver and a nightclub waiter. Over the weekend, two more suspects were detained in Mombasa, 301 miles (485km) from Nairobi, after allegedly withdrawing money from Scott’s account at multiple locations.

A court in Nairobi has granted police 21 days to hold the suspects while investigations continue. A post-mortem examination proved inconclusive, with pathologists stating that Scott’s injuries were “too minor” to have caused his death. Toxicology tests are now underway.

Meanwhile, the DCI has sought Interpol’s assistance in tracking Scott’s mobile phone and financial transactions as the investigation deepens.
