Goma est confrontée au phénomène des kidnappings. Depuis 2017, ils se multiplient dans la capitale du Nord-Kivu, à l’est de la RDC. La plupart du temps, les victimes sont des enfants, mais les adultes ne sont pas épargnés. Et les ravisseurs menacent de les tuer si des rançons ne sont pas versées. Des dizaines de cas ont été signalés, sans véritable recensement. Et les auteurs sont rarement poursuivis.
